I think so ..they get it taken off..its free to go to talk to bankruptcy lawyer our local channels have half hour show where you can call in..
it also depends what you make as to how you can file and repayment works …etc..

Depends on who and reason for garnishment. There are 5 rules you must meet to have federal tax included in bankruptcy. Your case was filed in federal court. Your bankruptcy attorney can answer your question based upon your specific circumstance.
Yes, garnishment can be stopped if bankruptcy is filed, depending on what the garnishment is for. If it is child support, student loans, federal tax debt, or a criminal fine, then no it won’t stop it. If it’s a garnishment for say a credit card company, once the company is notified of the bankruptcy filing by the courts, or your attorney’s office, they have to stop the garnishments. Good Luck!
